Ok, I took your suggestions into account! I uploaded a new version here: https://mkpc.malahieude.net/mariokart3.php
What changed:
- Removed the mechanics with X key, which was just confusing and not very convenient
- Added C key to throw an item backwards (works just like spacebar)
- Now CPUs can throw item backwards too!
Is this version ok for you? If so, I'll put this mechanics it the official game

The main reason I hadn't added this possibility is that on many laptops (included mine), you can't press more than 3 keys at a time. So if you are moving (key ↑), turning (key ←) and using an item (spacebar), you can't press another key (it will be ignored...).
I might have a solution, but I don't know if it would be ok for you : the X key. This key is used to look back, so it would be kind of logical to use it to send items backwards too. I could make a mechanic so that if you are looking back and you throw an item, it sends it back.
That's the best compromise I thought of, and it's actually not that bad! I created a test version with this mechanics here: https://mkpc.malahieude.net/mariokart2.php.

I might have a solution, but I don't know if it would be ok for you : the X key. This key is used to look back, so it would be kind of logical to use it to send items backwards too. I could make a mechanic so that if you are looking back and you throw an item, it sends it back.

Ok, I separated your accounts, now every new circuit will be associated to the connected account.
I can also change the circuit owner for the existing circuits if you want, just tell me who created which circuit.

Pour ton idée, plutôt que d'avoir 2 circuits, je pense que le plus simple ce serait que tu envoies une grande image avec les 2 maps, et ensuite tu mettrais un téléporteur dans le tunnel qui te redirige d'une zone à l'autre de l'image.
Ça donne l'illusion d'avoir 2 circuits en 1 sans changer grand chose au code. La seule chose qui manque est la possibilité de créer des téléporteurs, et c'est déjà un truc qui a été suggéré dans un autre topic, donc ça permettrait de faire d'une pierre deux coups ^^ et en attendant, tu peux déjà plus ou moins faire ça en mettant un bête trou

Yes, but ads barely finance the server today. If I take a better server, I would have to put more ads on the site and make them more intrusive (like popups and video ads at the end of a race) to compensate the server cost increase. I don't really like this idea.

Ok, please calm down I know this limitation can be annoying, but it is there for pure technical reason, I wouldn't have made it if there were no reason. Let me explain.
MKPC is hosted on a small server, with only 10 GB of disk space. I could use a larger server, but it would cost more money and since the game is entirely free, nothing would finance it.
So, 10GB of space means that if everyone used the 25MB allowed, only 400 members could create circuits. It's quite few. Hopefully not everyone use the 25MB so in practice it's more than that, but it shows that this limitation is necessary to allow as many people as possible to create tracks.
That being said, I can think of 2 solutions to solve this problem:
- Delete all old useless tracks to save space. But it would be veeeeery long to do manually, and not that easy to do automatically (how do you identify a useless track?)
- Allow to create circuits from an external image URL, instead of importing it on MKPC server. You would host the image on an external website such as Discord or PostImage, like what you do when you post images on the forum. This way, you could create as many tracks as possible without using space on the server. While I like this solution, it implies that I develop something to allow circuits with external images, which would take time too.
So whatever solution I chose (it could be both), it will take some time.
Now, before I start doing anything, who needs extra space for circuits today? From my experience, 25MB of space is already a lot (with well-compressed images, you could create over 100 circuits with that). If many people need more space, then I'll try to do something for it. But if it's only 1 or 2 members, please understand that it will not be my first priority.

Le truc c'est que ça risque d'être un peu chaud à implémenter malheureusement, tout ce qui concerne le mode en ligne c'est galère ^^
Et le système en lui-même risque d'être un peu compliqué aussi, parce que ça veut dire que les gens doivent se mettre d'accord pour les équipes... Comment tu ferais ça ?

Je réfléchis de plus en plus à ajouter cette option. Je pense que ce n'est pas très compliqué à faire et j'ai l'impression que pas mal de personnes le veulent (surtout @Waluigi68 a un problème de clavier qui l'empêche carrément de jouer). Je vais voir ce que je peux faire
The more I think about it the more I consider adding this option. I think it won't be that hard to implement, and it seems that quite many people need it (especially @Waluigi68 who has a keyboard problem that prevents him to even play). I'll see what I can do

Oui j'ai testé, en fait le problème ne vient pas de mac mais de safari. Est-ce que tu es attaché spécialement à ce navigateur ou pas ? Parce que sinon tu télécharges chrome ou firefox et ça va marcher tout seul ^^

Yep, it reloads the page and clears the cache. If you do it on the page where you edit the circuit, you should see the new image.

It's because the old image is still in your browser cache. Go to the page where you edit the circuit and type ctrl-shift+R. The new image will appear
