More lobbies for Online Mode
After you select your character it will bring you to a screen like this:
(1st jotting is supposed to say 'host's character here', 2nd jotting is supposed to say 'name of player (3 ellipses at the end if there are more than 10 characters in the name) and 3rd jotting is supposed to say 'number of players currently in lobby'. Also underneath the refresh button it's supposed to say 'refresh button to see more lobbies'.)
The colour would change depending on how many people there are, from green 1/12 to red 12/12.
The host should be able to ban or kick anyone being weird.
good suggestion, but i have some things to add on,
1. you can name the room (itd still say your username though)
2. you could add more rules, like no custom characters, daisy stats are banned and replaced with mario, everyone has to play as a certain character(s) etc.
3. Highlighting your username

A way to ignore topics, just like how you can ignore people.
eg. Currently Lioner's topic 'I have ranked everyone in Mariokart PC. Two tier list good to bad and Friendly to not firendly.' is constantly pinging me because he has the @ before everyone's name. Whenever someone quotes the post or another post quoting it, I get pinged. GamerJax said to turn off the mentioned in a message in the notification settings, but I don't want to because it's only that topic. This might be a bit confusing because it doesn't flow or I'm not using the techical terms, sorry

It isn't a live-changing suggestion, it's more of a 'it's just there for the fun of it' type of suggestion but basically, my suggestion is to add custom backgrounds for your profile page, while this wouldn't do much, it does give you more customization for your profile page, like this:

You could add ultra mini turbos like a lot of the newer games. It would be pretty easy to make too.

Can we add Split Starting Points? It would make Certain Courses easier to make.
For an example, this course has 2 Starting Points. 4 Racers start on the left, the other 4 start on the Right. The only way to achieve this is having the Starting Line somewhere random, then a Teleporter would Teleport 4 Racers to one Starting Point, and the other 4 to somewhere Else.

I just thought of this, when recreating DS Peach Gardens, the Chain Chomps have a certain route they follow, however since we can't give the Chain Chomps a certain route, it's a little harder to do so, because they move in a small circle, but that's what I just think. And Let CPU's trick off of ramps in custom tracks.

I have another Suggestion. Could we change the Grid size from 6X6 to 8X8? 6X6 feels too cramped.
And no, I can't just use CM because I can't make 10X10 QM Styled Tracks in CM.
Also, could Coin Runners and Bob Omb Blast get added? I really wish there were more options in Battle Mode. (Also, in my opinion, I like Coin Runners better than Balloon Battle.)

I think this changes the game too fundamentally in order to be added, it'd break so many WRs and make things like off-road drift easier, which to me is kinda lame.
