For the laptop: the wifi card might've gone bad. What network adapter do you have?
Unless your on Ethernet, in which case just buy a new laptop I guess.

I was really checking to see if it was a Qualcomm adapter, those are pretty shit recently.
Anyway, I hope you get it sorted out. Have you checked with anyone else in the house to see if they're having issues?
