Hi, any tips for a new player who knows a little rd

Welcome to MKPC. I’m LuigiXD, and here are some tips you can use when racing against the CPU or online:
- If you can reach a cannon (if the track has one), you can avoid the Blue Shell.
- When choosing a character, I recommend using Daisy—or customizing your character's stats to match hers. With Daisy, you’ll find it easier to chain drifts and perform reverse drifts (RD).

2. have 2 weeks left

Just like lu said, the best character is daisy, and her stats will help you to reverse drift much better! I suggest asking @KeinieoMK for some more tips on reverse drifting too.
This is the official forum section you are posting messages on right now! The forum is split into sections to keep things organized. The reports topic is very important too, if you see something weird or bad, you can report it on that topic. If you see a bad message on the forum you can report that message by hovering over somebody’s message and pressing the red siren button to report it.
Now for the buttons on posts or comments.
The green pencil sign is to edit your message. This can only apply to your messages, for obvious reasons, not others.
We already talked about the report button, no need to talk about it again.
The speech bubble with the eyes is the quote button. Always use this if you want to reply to someone.
And finally, the emoji button is where you can react to other people’s messages.
Now, for making messages.
When making a message on the forum, there are 12 emojis to choose from. If you press More Smileys, there will be a bunch of more stuff to choose from.
Now for the more advanced part, BB codes. BB codes aren’t really advanced but yeah.
For example, the size BB allows you to change the size of certain text, for example, if you select the size this will pop up in the text box: you need to insert your text in between the 2 ][.
If you did it, you text will look like the size that you selected, like THIS.
You can even combine BB codes! For example, the color BB code. Once you selected a color, and put your text in between the 2 ][ thingies, your text will look like this depending on what color you chose. I chose blue for a demonstration. Now what if we combine them? If you were to combine BB codes, it would look like this depending on what you wanted to combine:
Now, it’s the same thing like just doing one BB code, just place your text in the middle of the ][ thingies. For example, it would look like this depending on what you wanted to combine: Cool example
Now this isn’t the only thing you can combine, there’s much more!
Now for the 2 buttons at the bottom when you are making a message, Preview, and Send.
Preview is to see what your message would look like, it’s useful if you need to check if you made a mistake or is doing something right or wrong. And the send button is to submit your message.
Now, for the buttons at the bottom right corner.
Members area isn’t a subscription or anything, you can only interact with it if you have a account.
You can select members area to see all the players that is online right now. If you click on them, it will give you three options, you can either go to their profile, invite them to online, or start chatting with them. If you’re not to fine of a certain person, you can go to their profile and press the ignore button so you and that person cannot interact with you at all.
Anyways, that’s it. There’s much more but I don’t feel like typing it out. You can always dm me if you need to ask something, or if you want to simply start chatting.

Hello Ivve and welcome to MKPC! I see from your description you are trying for a 200cc World Record ^^ I watched your ghost and I have a few comments on it (note that I am not anywhere close to being one of the best players of the game, especially in 200cc, so if I get something wrong, sorry that's mb) :

- Firstly, are you using Daisy's stats? They are faster as you can use them to chain orange Super Mini Turbos (SMTs) instead of just regular Mini Turbos as you seem to be doing in your ghost. Also, the quicker you release your Super Mini Turbo, the faster your driving will be (as long as it doesn't also cause you to have a wide line)

- Try to focus on taking tighter lines around corners as this will save the most time ^^

- The optimal Mushroom strategy on this track is to use your Mushroom right before the water section with the small islands, and instead of driving all the way across all the islands you can drive slightly to the left of them for a tighter line; as you seem to have figured out, using a Mushroom on the water will nullify its offroad effects

- There is a Lap 3-exclusive glitch respawn shortcut on this track that is done by jumping to the left shortly after the water section, you can view Anthcny's current world record ghost to see what I mean

This company is so funny man

It's a random Wednesday morning in Japan less than a week before their next direct and they updated Pikmin 3 DX, gave Smash a balance patch and:

-added 5-8 player to 8DX
-raised player speed across the board invalidating every WR
-changed the Boo to work like it does in DS and World


Say what you will about not looking too mcuh more visually impressive gprahics wise but their commitment to using the Switch 2's hardware to add insane modes and features in 8DX, Bananza and Raiders bodes really well for future games like Luigi's Mansion 4 or the next 3D Kirby.
