I personnally don't think GBA Mario Circuit and Luigi Circuit look like respectively Mario and Luigi, however everyone knows that Yoshi Circuit looks like Yoshi.

It is actually possible. Get as far as you can, then drive the rest of the lap backwards. Once you reach the point where you couldn't reach, turn back around and you can get a lap count.
