POV: Nintendo stops taking down fan games

I(along with the rest of the Mario fangame community) would be very happy if Nintendo actually decided to stop taking down fan games and some are actually better than the actual games that Nintendo makes and it be way cheaper just to find and play a fangame online rather than having to waste 1000000 dollars just for a pointless remaster of a game that we already have that’s just HDified in the remaster and we could just emulate those games on a hacked switch (though Nintendo might brick you like they always do) and they should stop abusing the copyright system on YouTube because Nintendo is greedy and they literally take money from any creator in the Nintendo Creators Program as well as shutting down anything that doesn’t make them money or hurts their reputation. They even made their consoles 450 dollars.

The devs of Nintendo unfortunately don't make legal decisions, so the businessment they hire get the final say. Those men are greedy and unyielding.

Nintendo's not going to brick your switch, this has been said 1000 times.
also, hd remasters are useally like 30-40 dollers.
the nintendo creator program hasent existed for a while. and 450 dollers isent that bad far a pretty good handheld.
also, can people stop bringing up the same points a million times?

Sure they could. But I bet you that almost all of them have a good reason, like how Uranium was making money.

Super Mario royale and the one based off of super show weren't making money. And neither was Pokenet. Project M, not a game, but an expansion mod, had to get shutdown by legal threat from Nintendo. Nintendo is openly against homebrewing your consoles despite lack of any monetary gain on any end, except folks who use it to instead steal games that they'd usually pay for, which isn't okay. Nintendo will kill next to anything that has their name on it that they didn't make, even if it doesn't make money. It's one of those things that, while sucky, they have full right to do, and nobody can really do or say anything about it, because at the end of the day, it's their IP. I bet this stuff dates back to even the earliest days of the internet, back when the "Nintendo Tried to Sue A Warehouse Worker Named Mario" hoax was born.

There are so many ROM hacks & fangames up dude. They would've struck down so much more by now. AM2R got nuked solely because they were remaking Metroid 2 themselves (same reason for Royale).
Any kind of donation is making money too.
The ratio between killed / alive is far too crazy for them to be "killing anything".

It's got nothing to do with size either. How is Newer Team still alive? Dolphin & Cemu? (for emulation) Mario Bros. Vs? Every ROM Hack of Mario World, Mario 64, Fire Red. How is this game still alive? Project HDR? Smash Remix?

Personally, and this is just a theory, I think it's because of the scale. Of course Nintendo isn't gonna crack down on all of these games like some drug bust, there's simply too many of them to be worth doing so. No facts back this, just speculation.

I don't think MKPC will shutdown by Nintendo, because MKPC has been here for 15 years.

15 years ago was about the time the 3DS was released. That's only just 3 console generations ago...

Flash 2 is pretty large scale and very well known, and it's still up though. Unless they're planning a takedown soon.
