Yeah, Crusade is a bit newer but still really old (2014).

There's another one I think, haven't heard about it in a while & it was just getting started back then, I'm sure there are others too.

Either way, Flash 2 hasn't been updated in a hot minute, they finally came out of the lab with some cool resprites & stuff, new items etc. for the next update(hopefully soon) but some very stupid ppl are being hateful & there isn't that much drive for them to keep working on it instead of Fraymakers(which actually makes them money, Flash 2 is free ofc)

Crusade got updated as recently as 5 months ago, the game itself is really good, lot's of characters, stages, music, mods are easily addable, there's a MUGEN styled modpack called CMC that has...too much stuff, to be honest, it's on version 8 I think(the modpack) & it's like 8GB now if you're just starting(I haven't downloaded it, simply too many joke characters for me, I also don't like anime characters in Smash either, so when I play Vanilla Crusade I make sure to avoid picking Goku & Vegeta, also Weegee)

It's very polished and has a ton of features(still waiting on them to re-add ZSS tho...)

It'd take too long to list them all without sounding like I was just glazing

Crusade doesn't have a built in way to make stuff, but you  can make anything you want if you have the sprites somewhere. You just need to take another character as a base, copy & paste them and then just replace the copies stuff with yours(VFX, SFX,GFX,DMG% etc.) Getting a mod to work in the actual game is incredibly easy(and is actually intended)(the final step, not the spriting), but your not supposed to tell anyone what to do(emphasis on supposed).
If you want to mod Crusade, check Gamebanana. There are also SSF2 mods there, but I here the process is more tedious.
There is still no built in way to make anything, but that will probably change.

A user named ScouBSMK on Youtube shared a Christmas (or should I say Kartsmas) trailer for the project he's been working on called Super Mario Kart Deluxe. It's been a year since he posted that, and it's the latest video he posted. I'd like to know when this is coming out, because the game has been worked on since 2022.

Basically they are very busy working on the game(y'know, like most game developers are) Also one look at there channels show that they've got more than one WIP project(likely to avoid burnout)

TLDR they're very much still working on it, and I hate to sound like a broken record, but have some patience.

I found all that out in 5 minutes by opening the video description and clicking some links

Enough said.

If I were you I'd make a Twitter account and follow them all(or bluesky)

Thanks to Shortcat's vid we got some official Lightning Bolt changes.

1: Lightning will only hit people ahead of the holder, not shock everyone.
2: Everyone will grow much quicker from getting zapped, making the Lightning be more about ensuring that no one else has items than just shocking to shrink everyone & catch up.
3: Lightning will not strike anyone under cover(think tunnels, buildings, awnings, roofs in general will protect you from Lightning.)
This never made sense, frankly, & I'm glad it's gone.
4: Once activated, the weather will automatically switch to rain for a couple seconds. It's currently unknown on what this will do if it's already raining? Maybe the rain will be intensified, who knows.

I realize that I haven't really thought about how weather might effect courses, I might do that now actually.

I don't like how lightning ONLY hits people ahead of the holder, I liked when it hit everyone but now lightning bagging is bad cuz you can't use it in first place now

You intrepreted my message wrong, I like bagging in mario kart games, and I directly said that I disliked the update where lightning only hits ahead, now lightning bagging is now nonexistent

It's from Dawko, he went to one of the Switch 2 Experiences with DanTDM. The track looks so much better now, & the ending has been reworked(no lake, just a bit of mud, & some gurders in the air over that as another shortcut, with some ramp over on the far left of the turn to access them) everything else is the same, except for the turn with the giant cog has been railed off(for wall riding) & the following corner with the conveyors has been changed so that you getting the items from the outside is more of a hard commitment.

The videos from the Experiences are flying out. Wario Stadium & Toad's Factory look great!
Also DK does dab on hit now.
Stoplights can be moved over(probably by Megas)
Kamek turns everyone into the character(unlocking them) & adds them or something related to them as a hazard.

He probably made them up, which makes sense, he's just trying to describe them.

Some of these are stretches, but I like the idea, although Lakitu makes more sense for the Oriental track than Wiggler.

Makes sense, I put wiggler there because of Maple Treeway. Maybe then Lakitu on the Oriental Track, Wiggler on Peach Stadium and Para-Biddybuddy on the ? Block Track

The forest track had a Wiggler in it's course icon(atleast during the Knockout Rally), so maybe there? Although we'll be finding out soon enough, I guess.

Mario Kart World will feature an auto-item option alongside the three from 8DX. Just like Tour, this will likely automatically chain items for you(for new players) at every item set.

Day 2 of Treehouse!(Sorry about the late start.)

Jamboree:
Literally everything from the trailer during the direct.
Mario Kart World:
? blocks are hittable for coins.
The hazards are way better this time. Not just re-textured items.
CPU difficulty seems to be much higher. Might just be the fact that there's more of them.
You lose items when you fall again(and the screen fades to black again)
Moo Moo Meadows remix does sound different. Not sure what happened with Sky High Sundae.
Robo-Bramballs? The hazards are so fire this time.
Choco Mountain got combined with the two Choco Islands??? Huh? Maybe Koopa Troopa Beach is more than just the Koopa Beachs combined.
The songs have actual endings for Knockout Tour. They don't just awkwardly fade out or cut out when transitioning.
Bravely Default FF: Skipping. It's Bravely, it's peak. Play it.
Forgotten Land: The lore brain is tingling. The opening level revisit is cool.
The bosses being "Crystal" is lore, that's for sure. Love the remix of the Miniboss theme too.
New enemies, increased difficulty, levels are selectable from the World Map(like, whenever you hover over a level, you'll be able to play the alternate version of it), new capsules + more gacha.
Upgrade pack is $20, definitely worth it if you already own the game.
