While playing online some people told me about a "reverse drift" but I don't know how to make it and I don't even know what it is...
If anyone could tell me more about it that could be pretty nice

Quick Mode is meant to be a quick way to make tracks for people who think Complete Mode is too complex or people who are just bad at drawing tracks.


Quick Mode offers a very limited menu: only being able to place single item boxes, 3 types of jumps and one 8x8 px boost panel. The decors are only the ones present in the original track. I think that if QM were to have "Custom CP placement" (requested by @CanadaFromPWA) it'll just start to become more complex, just like CM, and it isn't what QM was made for.
Although the tracks may be repetitive, I prefer seeing bad QM tracks than blurry, confusing and badly drawn CM tracks, and if QM were to be removed, 90% of the current QM tracks that we have would transform into 90% bad CM tracks that are even worse to play than QM. Players don't often take the effort to make great tracks because of laziness, demotivation or lack of time.

QM tracks can also be used for Challenge purposes! I, for example, have made 2 entire QM Multicups (each having 16 tracks) with each track having 2 very difficult challenges to beat! I don't think these tracks are that bad though, they're great layouts for challenges at least.

Instead of wanting remove an entire feature, why not encouraging people to use that feature less often? Maybe by hosting TBCs (Track Building Competitions)!
With the addition of rails in Mario Kart PC, @TheNudgyHampter is currently hosting a TBC involving rails, and anyone can participate! If your track is GREAT enough you can even submit it to CTGP PC BG (Custom Track Grand Prix Personal Computer But Good)!

Now some of you may not agree with what I've said above, and it's completely normal! Everyone should be able to express their opinion about Quick Mode. But I still believe that by having Complete Mode track creators create more insane tracks and post them on the forum or in the Discord server, it can motivate Quick Mode track creators to at least try Complete Mode!

But anyways no it's alright to be confused about some stuff, and if anything it's great that you ask! After all, there will always be people to answer your confusions and help you with things you may not understand

Reading the Checkpoint tutorial could help, there are some key informations to take into account when making checkpoints:
- The 1st placed checkpoint will ALWAYS be the one that changes laps.
- The number of laps doesn't depend on the number of Checkpoints, there is directly an option that allows you to just change the lap count to whatever you want.
- Optional Checkpoints are checkpoints that the player doesn't need to cross in order to finish a lap. However, because he didn't cross it and others behind might have did, he may be placed a bit lower while reaching the next mandatory checkpoint.

Note: Checkpoints shouldn't be able to be missed, ALWAYS make sure that no Checkpoints are skippable, verify tight places or tight corners! We never know what kind of player might play on your track after all


There are 2 ways to trick while riding a rail:
- Normal Tricks: These tricks happen when you press your drift/hop/trick key without pressing any directional key.
- Side tricks: These tricks happen when you press your drift/hop/trick key WHILE pressing one of your directional keys.
Note: The longer you press the directional key in question, the further to the side you will be ejected.


It is unfathomably rare to 12+ players in Worldwide Online at the same time. When it happens, a second server is created.
But because it is so rare and because Worldwide Online doesn't happen everyday, the game has no choice but to put every player in the same room, no matter the skill gap from one player to another.
Without this, we would always be playing with 2 or 3 players which would make races terribly boring.


This isn't the first "Space for anything" topic. There has been 3 or 4 SFA topics actually, and every single time one was locked or deleted, we faced the SAME EXACT problem: useless topics.
The wave of useless topics that was created every day was so unbearable to moderate that it became impossible for moderators to handle every dramas and problems happening in so many different topics.
I hope this can make you understand better the purpose of SFA, I also don't like this topic but the problem isn't the topic itself, but rather the MKPC Forum Community.

@Waterbeat, also known as Fways is currently THE best Mario Kart PC player of all time. He's in second place the in world wide online leaderboard only because he doesn't play there often, but in the lounge leaderboard (the competitive side of Mario Kart PC) he's a Grandmaster with nearly 4500 elo (which is the highest anyone has ever gotten).
If you want to beat him, you have to show serious dedication to Mario Kart PC, whatever he does he's almost always guaranteed to come-back and win.
