You also don't have to use a YouTube video for the win theme. You can use one of the preset themes too.

What I always do to make a character:
1. Right click one of the characters' select icon, map icon, and podium art, click "save image as", and save
2. Get the art software you'll use (I use ibis Paint)
3. Open all the parts of the character in said art software and draw on them however you want
4. Find a Youtube video with fitting music for their win theme
5. Go to the character select, custom characters, character creator
6. Input all the different parts, post the character, and...
Done!

1Question: Why did the course icons for the Booster Course Pass Wave 1 courses are now slightly brighter than at launch (with the exception of Ninja Hideaway, which is now slightly darker instead)?

do you unlock characters by getting 1st place on the grand prixs?
If you want to know, to get about half the characters, you get trophies in the main grand prix cups, and to get the rest, you have to get trophies in custom track multicups.

You will never 100% the game! You have to win every track! There are THOUSANDS of tracks!
Oh. I wasn't really including the custom tracks, but that would be a LOT more work to do.

I would recommend doing the GBA tracks first, then DS, then SNES if you're having trouble. I did it in that order since I feel like the GBA tracks are easiest and the SNES tracks are hardest.

I wish GBA Bowser Castle III shortcut from Mario Kart Wii was possible. It's still possible in the custom multicup "Super Mario Kart Wii" but not in the base game
Yeah... I once (without thinking) attempted to do that shortcut in time trials and got kinda confused.

Vanilla Lake 2 pretty much has a shortcut every 0.5 seconds. No joke.

1What do you prefer: Mario Kart 8 Wii U DLC Packs 1 & 2 (2014-2015) or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass (Waves 1-6) (2022-2023)?

I don't have either of those DLCs, but the one in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe quite literally DOUBLES the amount of content in the game, and the one in Mario Kart 8 adds four new cups and a few characters. I would get the 8 Deluxe DLC.

To start things off, I found MKPC because I was trying to find a Super Mario Kart Emulator online, and somehow, this game was the first thing that popped up. I tried it out, and now I've been playing it ever since.
