Tbf you guys will run out of tracks at some point, and this game lacks those random 3D background elements that made those LEGOKOTOR/MK8/FNAFSB Geoguessr videos really difficult. So I don't blame them for suggesting custom tracks.

It doesn't help that the base game here is 3 seconds away at all times & the tracks are all extremely short. You can literally just go find the right track and come back in half a minute, ie there's no reason to guess on the harder images. You test your theory and come back in 20 seconds. So it's pretty much down to how honorable the people playing are.(which is not likely)

Glad you guys are having fun though, but it's definitely going to end sooner rather than later seeing as how tracks are being repeated already. Atleast I learned that Riverside and Lakeside have different grass textures.

It's not really cheating. They just don't have the roulette like the player does so they get theirs faster (even if you mash). They never use items they got from thin air.

There are still cool shortcuts from time to time. Nobody is labbing them though, and they're extremely situational.

I'm not gonna pretend that they're all super visually exciting compared to the actual courses and a lot of it is very fighting game -esque cuz with 200+ intermissions to memorize they're really just knowledge checks, but they're there.

I meant killing bagging would make the intermissions better, not remove the intermissions. The intermissions are worse because of bagging - otherwise ppl would dwvote time to learning shortcuts and stuff like the normal tracks. Only thing is the shortcuts require atleast one shroom normally, or even 3.

The only intermissions that are actually problematic are the Koopa Beach and Desert Areas ones. All the rest are pretty much fine and there are good shortcuts too, it's just that nobody is using them bc nobody has bothered to lab them bc of the bagging problem.

Some of the most popular tracks in the series have zero (intended) shortcuts and people still love them (Waluigi Pinball, Coconut Mall has 1 that cuts a single corner, Mushroom City, Toad Factory, every Rainbow Road is overglazed although now I think World's has better gameplay due to it's shortcuts)

Kill bagging and the intermissions would be 30 times better

As long as you play it like it's Mario Kart World and not Mario Kart 8 2

Generative AI sucks but Neuro-Samantha is too peak for me to want all forms of AI gone. DLSS is great too.

Game Theory still produces meaningful content. I'd say they do so more now than with MatPat. (Like anything but indie horror was terrible for MatPat. Like with the Kirby video and Mario hating Luigi). It's just that people grew attached to MatPat. Everything is literally the same as it always has been. The GTLives are better, even.

Assuming that they're working on literally nothing else, DS is next. Also I'm going to be honest, this is just like CTGP But Good, most people's tracks won't be good enough to be accepted.
