Should We Have Clan Wars In Mario Kart Pc?
On 2026-01-02 at 00:06:35
We have thousands of players, what do you mean are competitive scene isn't big enough for clan wars
The problem is that not a lot of people actually play this game regularly. I'd say about 100 regular players log on on a given day, and not all of them are willing to play online. Most of the accounts are just people who play for a few days and then leave. Besides, how many people are usually in online lobbies? Not many.
Some people only use Mario Kart PC for the forums, you can tell by the stats on their profile

3CPU Drift
On 2026-01-02 at 00:13:51
When i make a track, i want the CPUS to drift sometimes... is there a way to make them drift if that's possible?🫤
no, thats gonna be probably 5 days of useless coding for wargor, it doesn't benefit in anyway.
It would add a bit of difficulty, and CPUs already hop over off-road and small holes/the ghost valley shortcuts, so all that'd be necessary is to add a couple lines of code that make it happen on higher difficulty, and on turns.
Regardless, CPU drift isn't necessary to add no matter how easy it might be to code.
Except it's not easy to code whatsoever! To even add drifting you've got to at least consider:
- Understand the spaghetti code that makes up this game, the messier the code means that it will be harder to implement stuff
- Allow CPUs to initiate a drift
- Allow CPUs to end a drift
- Adjust the end drift timings to mini or super mini turbos
- Find out the appropriate time for a CPU to drift on any given track
- Find an appropriate time for a CPU to stop drifting on any given track
- You would have to animate this too
- Have the CPU still follow the same path so it doesn't fly off the track
- Allow CPUs to do all of this ONLY on certain difficulties
I'm not even sure Nintendo themselves have drifting CPUs
What are You Thankful For?

I am thankful for how no matter what place in life I am, whether it is good or bad, I always have people to talk to, it never needed to be many, but a few really close friends
I am thankful for @Ianthe entering my life, she is the best person I have ever met ever and there is no possible way to describe just how much I love her <3
I am thankful for being around for the best day of my life, December 3rd 2023 <3
I am thankful for the rare opportunities where it is dark outside after staying behind at school to do 1-2 extra hours of maths or physics to then feel the fresh air, knowing that it's Friday and it's home time
I am thankful for being born and ragebaiting the 2nd place sperm in the sperm race
I am thankful for where I'm at today, where I discovered my passion for game development, and for the people who inspired me to become a game dev
I am thankful that I only saw Megamind 1 and not the sequel
I am thankful for mango juice
I am thankful for the people who still accept me, no matter how annoying or immature I appear to be
I am thankful for Mario Kart PC not having a short character limit so I can be thankful for stuff in this topic easily
I am thankful for everyone who accepts me for being transgender, and for simply being myself

Suggestion: How about GLIDERS in Mario Kart PC?
On 2025-12-16 at 23:29:09
Wel if tricking is possible.
They can simply put a script that when you're in the middle of a jump you fall slowly on pressing a key.

THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING!! GLIDERS WOULD'VE BEEN SO DAMN COOL AND IT SEEMS FEASIBLE TO ACTUALLY MAKE!
Unfortunately it will not get added with very mixed feelings from the Discord side of the community, so yeah

MKPC's Tracks and most custom ones made by us aren't really difficult, but here, we're focusing on really tough tracks. So, here's mine!

1How can I create custom laps in complete mode?
On 2025-12-27 at 16:41:13
I've been playing this Game for 5 Years and I still can't figure out how to make a CM Track with 9+ Laps.
You can use the inspect tool (f12) to change the value of the lap counter.
Also works with CPU difficulty to go beyond impossible.
Maybe there's more stuff you can do but I got no clue.
How do I do that on a Chromebook? Because I don't see an F12 Key.
You can also go to the editor and find the drop-down menu where you can edit the number of laps.
Press Ctrl + Shift + I to open the inspect element, and then there should be a box in the top left corner that allows you to click on an element on the webpage. Do that and click the drop down menu.
Then you see some code with a string and a lap value that may look something like >"9"< >9< etc.
I'm pretty sure it's the value without the "", but I edit both just to be safe.

/!\ PUBLISHING YOUR CHALLENGES / SUR LA PUBLICATION DES DÉFIS /!\

uhm, my track has a shortcut, but it might seem invisible even tho you just need to pay attention, GBA Snow Land, the recent one
It's not completely invisible, but it's a bit simple to find too.

Yeah that's absolutely fine, secret shortcuts for speed rule is for the creators who intentionally make it so that it is easy to publish a really difficult (or completely impossible) challenge the normal way.
By this we mean, the creator adding sections where there is a: secret teleporter, secret respawn, phasing through walls, things only the creator would be able to know. As long as the player can have some sort of idea to know there's a shortcut there, it's fine

Hello Everyone ^^
I hope you are all doing well,
Recently, the Validator Team have had a few complaints about the rejection of some challenges. They seem to not understand why we make the decisions that we do, but I assure you that we don't reject any to piss anyone off. In our opinions, there is always something that isn't optimized to be a published challenge, and here are some reasons why they may be rejected.
1 - INAPPROPRIATE CHALLENGES
If a challenge has a name or idea that contains swearing, insults, NSFW content... (basically anything bad), it will be rejected. We don't really get this much which is good.
2 - GENUINELY IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGES
Some challenges are deliberately made to not be beaten by anyone, even people with the highest skill or even TAS if it was to exist in MKPC. (ex. Complete the track in less than 3 seconds) We see this as a way to get free challenge points and potentially rig the system.
3 - SPAM OF CHALLENGES
Basically, do not make a ton of challenges. I know this sounds strange coming from me since I originally created 38 on Bathaniel Nandy, but this can also be a way of gaining a lot of challenge points. (obviously my intention wasn't to rig the system though, otherwise I wouldn't be validator
)
4 - RIDICULOUSLY EASY CHALLENGES
When a challenge is too easy, it no longer becomes a "challenge". It's more of a task and requires little to no skill at all. (ex Complete the Track) In this example there is nothing to increase the difficulty of the challenge, so this defeats the whole purpose of making a challenge. (obviously if the course is hard then it's an exception) For these type of challenges to be accepted you need to add some conditions that make the gameplay a little harder and more interesting.
5 - ZONES WITH NO HINTS
When you are told to reach a zone but there is nothing to guide you, no skill is involved, everything is pretty much just pure luck and hope. It can also be a way to gain points effortlessly.
6 - REPETITIVE CHALLENGES
When challenges are too similar it gets stupid. An example is:
Complete the track in less than 52 seconds
Complete the track in less than 51 seconds
Complete the track in less than 50 seconds
As you can see there is very little variation, and allows you to beat a bunch of challenges easily.
7 - SECRETS FOR SPEED
If you add invisible shortcuts or ways to become faster to get a better time for a challenge, then it's cheating.
8 - UNPUBLISHED CIRCUITS CAN'T HAVE CHALLENGES
Some people have been releasing challenges without the circuit being published. The problem with this is that the creator, who is anonymous, will manipulate the track after release and gain free challenge points. Because we don't know who created the challenge, the person will be more likely to exploit this. This is why circuits must be published first.
9 - FAKE DIFFICULTIES
Please don't think you can get away with deliberately requesting a fake difficulty. (ex. Requesting a Challenge to be Impossible when it is actually Easy) This gets super annoying for the validators to edit, and also reduces your credibility for future challenges. Obviously, it can be unintentional when the difficulty change is small, in which case you're fine. This rule mainly applies to those who think they can exploit the Challenge Point system.
10 - STOLEN TRACKS CAN'T HAVE CHALLENGES
If you steal another person's course without their permission, you are breaking the rules. Not only should you not deserve to have any challenges on it but it should be deleted. If the image was made by another person and permission was in fact given, then challenges will be allowed.
These are pretty much the reasons why we reject challenges. (I may update this in future) Don't assume we do it because we hate you or because we are dumb. We are all human and we will make mistakes every now and then, but you have nothing to worry about if you follow these guidelines. Occasionally the game may bug and automatically manipulate the challenge, so that may be another reason.
If a challenge does happen to be rejected, PLEASE READ THE FEEDBACK before you try to re-upload it. This is another common issue the validators have to deal with, and is quite annoying when we have to reject the same challenge because the creator didn't fix the addressed problems.
Also, please don't get salty if we reject a challenge because we are just trying to do our jobs.
If you want, follow the topic in case you ever need to come back to this.
Goodbye ^^

)

uhh... was mine good because I made one and mines didnt get validated yet
if it gets rejected read the feedback (written in the post)
sometimes the challenge validators will be busy (eg. exams) so just be patient; it'll probably be validated in the next few days
Alr thanks. I put my challenge as difficult mode but now looking at it I think it should be normal lol
Don't worry, validators set challenges to the appropriate difficulty, so it doesn't matter if you're off slightly

★ Challenge Creation Reminder ★
Hello everyone! It's me, Hazel. I am one of the Challenge Validators within the Validation Team, responsible for accepting, rejecting and modifying challenges so they fit Mario Kart PC without losing the original idea of the challenge.
Recently, while validating challenges, I've noticed many challenges that break some of the rules regarding challenge creation. Due to this, we unfortunately have to reject a bunch of challenges. We always give reasons as to why we may reject challenges, please read it!
A lot of challenges being rejected are often rejected for the same reasons, so I have decided to create this post to highlight some of these rules being broken the most frequently, so hopefully creators can see this and get their challenges accepted in the future! Please read the challenge creation rules if you haven't already, thank you!
You can click this link to see the challenge creation rules in its entirety
★ Specific Rule Reminders ★
Additional Comments: This one thankfully isn't as much as an issue as the other ones I will mention, but sometimes we get a few tracks with like 10+ challenges pending for it with little variation to the challenges. Challenges like: "Complete the track with Mario" "Complete the track with Luigi" "Complete the track with Toad" ... all in the same track is repetitive and doesn't really add anything interesting either. The main reason we reject challenges breaking this rule is having so many similar/low-effort challenges for the sake of gaining challenge points.
Additional Comments: There are a lot of challenges that get rejected because of this, which is a shame since some of the challenges that get rejected for this reason actually has a lot of potential for an interesting challenge. This is most common in challenges around completing the track (with no extra conditions) and collecting item boxes/coins (with no extra conditions). All that needs to be done is to add some sort of constraint to make the challenge a bit harder, this can be as simple or as complex as you want! We reject any challenges that feel too easy for Easy difficulty (easy for beginners, but still failable to some capacity).
Additional Comments: There isn't much for me to say for this, as I have covered the main points in the first specific rule reminder. This is just "Spam of Challenges", but on a smaller scale. If a few challenges are similar to one another, we may edit the challenges to be different enough to feel unique or reject challenges that are too similar (3 similar challenges may turn into 2 rejected and 1 accepted for example).
★ Extra Tips And Info For Publishing Challenges ★
This section is for more niche tips for publishing challenges, that will make it easier for your challenges to get accepted. Although, if you have followed all the rules mentioned in the first post of this forum topic, you shouldn't have any issues.
1. Incomplete Challenges
What do I mean by "Incomplete Challenges"? There isn't really an official term for them as far as I am aware but they are challenges that are like: "Finish in the 1st position", and then does not have any extra conditions set. Don't worry, these challenges will likely get accepted if it is easy enough to see what the creator's intentions were when making the challenge. Although we may have to make some assumptions, which may not be what you wanted initially (these can be changed upon request!)
Let's start with a common example: "Finish the track in the 1st position".
This challenge is fine, but it can be improved upon further. So let's make some modifications to it. Please consider the following:
- What mode is it? (VS Mode/TT Mode)
- What engine class? (150cc, 200cc etc.)
- How many participants?
- What difficulty of CPUs?
- Any additional constrains would you like to add? (optional)
Specifying these constraints makes it easier to play the challenge right from the get-go and saves time for both the players and the validators. It also can help maintain the intended difficulty of the challenge.
Here's the improved version: "Finish the track in the 1st position, in VS Mode, in 150cc class, with 8 participants, in Difficult mode"
2. You Can Take Inspiration From Challenges You Enjoy!
There are a few hidden gems on Mario Kart PC that have a lot of interesting and creative challenges. I've seen battle mode arenas turned into custom boss fights (@Nodac64 makes some cool boss fights), tracks be used as mini obstacle courses using mechanics like rails, challenges be used as training tools and so much more. Challenges can be really simple or really complex, it's your choice! Let your creativity take over! We don't really have a particular order of what challenges we validate, but creating less tedious challenges will likely get your challenge validated faster. However, all challenges eventually get validated, no matter the type or difficulty, thank you for your patience.
3. Raw Skill Is Not The Only Factor For Difficulty
Suprisingly, raw skill is not the only factor that determines a challenge's difficulty. But rather focused on two main factors:
- The skill required to beat a challenge
- The length of the challenge itself
This means that you can have a fairly easy challenge, but if the length is longer than the average challenge on Mario Kart PC, that difficulty of your challenge may increase. This is very common among multicups, for example: CTGP-PC Deluxe has a challenge called "CTGP-PC Deluxe Marathon", which is rated Impossible difficulty. Not because a race itself is at the same difficulty as standard Impossible challenges, but rather because there are 40 gold cups in the challenge (160 tracks or about 5 hours of gameplay on average). This mainly applies to multi-cups but this tip also applies to tracks that are just really long.
The difficulty system is as follows:
Note: You do not have to worry about getting a challenge's difficulty completely perfect when publishing your challenge! We change the difficulty to what is suitable for the challenge upon accepting it.

I hope this served as a good reminder/guide on challenge creation, if you have any questions about challenges, please continue to ask them in this forum. Happy challenge creating!

★ Specific Rule Reminders ★
3 - SPAM OF CHALLENGES
Basically, do not make a ton of challenges. I know this sounds strange coming from me since I originally created 38 on Bathaniel Nandy, but this can also be a way of gaining a lot of challenge points. (obviously my intention wasn't to rig the system though, otherwise I wouldn't be validator
)

)Additional Comments: This one thankfully isn't as much as an issue as the other ones I will mention, but sometimes we get a few tracks with like 10+ challenges pending for it with little variation to the challenges.

Hello everyone this is a brief reminder that if your challenge gets rejected, please read why one of us have rejected your challenge. Re-submitting a challenge without applying the changes the validators suggest just wastes time, as it would just lead to another rejection and/or a small temporary ban when making challenges.
On 2024-04-06 at 13:06:01
I think the rules that the validators have to follow is more vague than the ones the players have to

1On 2024-03-30 at 12:46:08
Out of all of the criteria for rejecting a challenge, "this is a stolen track" is not shown in the list. i already explained in the comments WHY I stole the track AND EVEN GAVE CREDIT IN THE DESCRIPTION
It should be obvious why we don't accept challenges on stolen tracks, as you clearly stole the track, it wasn't your original creation. If you remake the track, then it's okay, as then it's your creation (although the best thing to do there is ask the original creator for permission for you to make the revamp).
On 2024-02-01 at 00:33:04
I repeat again because people think it's funny to repost their challenges without doing anything. Read the rules behind making challenges, it isn't an automated process and we will literally reject your challenges with no hesitation if you don't bother to listen to feedback on why it's been rejected.

(obviously my intention wasn't to rig the system though, otherwise I wouldn't be validator
)
Obviously it can be unintentional when the difficulty change is small, in which case you're fine. This rule mainly applies to those who think they can exploit the Challenge Point system.
Goodbye ^^

)

Here’s my challenge

If you're going to share a challenge send a link to the track it's on otherwise it's virtually impossible to find 💀
We don't actually need the link to validate the challenge. We already have a list of pending challenges that automatically update when someone uploads a challenge.
On 2023-10-26 at 18:57:26
If a validator rejects your challenge, please read why we have rejected it, rather than just re-uploading it

I'm going to post 100 unique challenges on the same track
