@-Alyssa- suggested something like this back on page one of the topic. (too lazy to quote or copy-paste that right now). It's a good idea.
Forum ranking system; Alright this one's a little far-fetched, but hear me out, ok? Ranking by behavior. Someone who's received a lot of warnings, been banned, or just been a forum kid for too long cannot post in certain categories. There'd be categories where people acted like, well, like they act everwhere on MKPC right now. And there'd be categories where higher ranking members, who haven't been a problem, can talk to each other without a bunch of people spamming useless garbage and causing problems.
The better someone's behavior, the higher their rank, and the more freedom they have to post where they please.
Example
Adjustment in rank could be done by mods/admins, maybe with a little drop-down menu or something
And an online racing request -
Somebody's probably asked for it, maybe it already exists ... What about custom item options in online mode? Like what nintendo did in the BCP (don't know which wave)

Silver rank This person can post in all categories currently on the site, create their own topics, and post/create topics in a special silver-rank category. This could help when someone wants to make a topic with (almost) no risk of useless arguments. This'd hopefully be where most people would end up.
Account C - Moderator/admin. Gold rank This person can post in/create topics in all categories, including silver rank and a (private?) mod/admin category. Useful if we do mod applications again and people don't have discord. It's happened. I know, DMs exist, but still.
Account D - This person has been banned at some point, maybe more than once. Blue rank This person cannot post in International Forum, Official Topics, or the silver and gold-rank categories, and cannot comment on tracks.

1: The ability to have AI make a track for you in quick mode
2: Complete mode track sizes can go up to 3MB

1: ... kinda neat. Would be difficult to do, tho.
2: 🤷 Good for tracks that use sections not laps.
3: You've already unlocked all the characters by the time you finish the main game (plus tax 😛) and you can change the CC in vs mode, so why bother?

Fun fact- There's a company that turns dead bodies into an ocean reef. They mix the cremated remains of a person with concrete to create a "pearl" onto which loved ones can etch personal messages, handprints or (environmentally friendly) mementos.
