This video hit 100k views the other day, which isn't near some of the other stuff he has but it's got a special place for me. My own level appeared in it (the DKSC one) and it's what got me well known within his community, and even a rate, so it was really exciting.

Although Wulzy has now quit making YT content he's still really great to watch, especially if you wanna learn how to build good levels. I highly recommend his building videos.

Frequently Asked Suggestions: (may be updated)

1. New Courses for the base game (eg. N64, GCN, Wii etc.)
Adding new courses takes a lot of effort to create, much more than the good custom tracks on the site. It's better to focus on more important updates such as bug fixes and optimisations. You can also just play the custom tracks that people worked hard to build anyway, such as the (currently WIP) community project MKPC Generations (go check out other creations too!).

2. More storage for Complete Mode
25MB is plenty, and the site won't be able to handle any more data. If you really want to save storage you can always use an image compressor (which may lower quality a tad) or an image hosting site such as FileGarden.

3. Nerf CPUs in Grand Prix Mode
GP mode is 150cc and the CPUs are set to 'Difficult' for those who didn't know. They will not be nerfed because with a bit of practice they are not that hard (except for maybe 2 cups but persistence will prevail).

4. Remove Reverse Drifting (RD)
RD is confirmed as an official technique and will never be removed (it is also neither hacking nor cheating).

5. Gliders
These are not a necessary addition, programming them will be difficult, and the existing ramps and cannons are fine. Like the first point there are more important updates too.

6. Ultra Mini Turbo/Purple Drift
The SMTs in the game are already strong enough. MKPC is also quite small scaled compared to the official MK games so they wouldn't work well anyway.

7. Extra and Diagonal Quick Mode Tiles
Diagonal tiles will not work with how QM functions. You might as well use CM at that point.

People have been making a lot of topics about suggestions for MKPC, so rather than having tens of the same topic it's better to just have 1 topic for everything.

Topic Rules: (just to keep things neat here)

1. Read the Frequently Asked Suggestions (FAS) in the post below, which lists common examples and explains why said suggestions won't be added to MKPC. Do not suggest anything within that post (might be updated in the future) or else the post will be deleted.

Just because the topic is about providing new ideas to make the site better doesn't mean you can message farm here. Also, please also refrain from sending every second or so message because this isn't the topic to be active in.

4. Stay on topic. This topic is only for suggestions and discussions around them so don't post any irrelevant messages.

6. Be clear with your suggestions. This isn't mandatory, however it is much more beneficial if you explain how your suggestion may be implemented and why it may be useful.

Unfortunately, sometimes people do not respect the website rules and don't get caught by administrators/moderators. But you can help us, if something like this occurs, by reporting all the people who don't respect the rules on this topic!

Don't hesitate to use this topic if it's the case! If you hesitate to report someone, read again the website rules to make sure the person did something wrong or not.
You can also report people who did something wrong on the MKPC Discord server.

To report a person, enter their nickname (MKPC and/or Discord), describe how they broke the rules, give us proof (for example screenshots) and wait for a moderator or administrator to answer you !

Okay, well, it doesn't matter if you mistakenly report an innocent person, it's worse to not report those "guilty"! So don't hesitate to use this topic.

I could add lots of other examples, but in my opinion you understood what kind of things are not allowed on this website ^^
I wrote this list only to help you but remember that the rules are the most precise reference.

Please do not respond to people’s reports, let them make reports, and let mods deal with it. Only respond if you are trying to add further evidence about the report.

Please use this topic ONLY for reports, and where possible merge reports into 1 post. Any message that isn't a report will be deleted, and sanctions will be given to those that don't follow this.

The only exception to this is if you think a report is unfair and you want to contest it, but you can only do this for yourself. Don't jump in for others.

The TBC results are finally here! Apologies for the really long wait, as you could imagine the judges were pretty busy. Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest, and it was great to see a large number of tracks this contest. You will all receive points based on your score (it may take some time before it's visible).

I've gone through the ratings of each track and I noticed a few people rating the submissions 1/5 unfairly and without reasoning. Those who were guilty of 1 star trolling on multiple tracks have received warns (I won't list names but you know who you are). It's not fair for people's creations to have their reputations ruined for your own selfish reasons.

The rating of these tracks will not influence the results of the competition, so to those who have a submission and think giving 1/5s will increase your chances at winning you are deeply mistaken. Additionally, if it happens again I will disqualify your submissions. This has never happened in my 5 years of running a TBC, and I hope it never happens again.


On a more positive note, we've received quite a lot of submissions already, so thank you to everyone who has participated. We still have a bit over 3 weeks before the deadline. Good luck to all.

Welcome to the official topic of the latest MKPC event, the Autumn Track Building Contest! Here you will find all of the information regarding the event. EVERYONE is welcome to participate, no matter your skill or experience, and you earn rewards for your participation.


You will need to create a COMPLETE MODE circuit based on the following theme:
Mushrooms
and then submit your creation on this topic. Your creation will be judged by the jury at the end of the tournament.

The creations must be ORIGINAL and made for this tournament (that means you can't steal another's creation or post an internet image). You are also allowed to submit up to 3 creations, however you will only receive points for your best creation.

Tracks will receive a score out of 20 from each jury member, and the winner is whoever has the highest score.


Gameplay
Layout (How interesting is the layout? Are there any shortcuts and/or alternate paths?) = /4
Design (Does the track have variety? Does it keep the player engaged?) = /3
Collisions (How well is the track programmed? eg. walls, checkpoints, off-road etc) = /2
Obstacles (Are obstacles used to make gameplay interesting? Is it a fair difficuly? eg. Goombas, Buses etc) = /2

Total for gameplay:  /11

Decoration

Visuals (How good does the track look? Is there effort put into it?) = /3
Theming (How creative/fitting is the use of the Mushrooms theme? Is it clever or a Mushroom Gorge ripoff?) = /2
Decoration (How well have MKPC decors and the image decorations been used? Have custom decors been used?) = /2
Music (Is it appropriate for the track? Is it good to listen to?) = /1
Background (Does the background fit the track? Is the outer colour appropriate?) = /1

Total for decoration:  /9

Every track will receive points based on their score. Additional rewards will be awarded to the top 3 creations.
1st Place: 5000 VS points + a Discord 'TBC Winner' Role + the track will be highlighted on the home page for 2 weeks
2nd Place: 3000 VS points
3rd Place: 2000 VS points

The tournament ends on the 7th of December. Any submissions after that will not be counted.

I like this idea too, and I guess it wont be too hard if you just program the 200cc option to go 2x faster (or whatever it is) but I don't think 50cc and 100cc is necesary

1. Topic revive (i probably should've locked bc of the rediculous demand by some)

2. My first post was when I was still new, (exactly 1 month after i joined, topic made MAY 2020) but after 10 months here now (damn that was quicker than i thought) I realise that it isnt as easy as you think to do these updates. The new updates take a long time, especially since there is only one developer.

3. Adding new tracks is cool, but it takes a lot of effort to edit them  to make them HD, an optimal size and suitable for the game. Unless one of us do it ofc. In the meantime there are lots of custom 3DS tracks already.

I think that is fine (mostly) It makes you use skill to beat.
