I've updated the 2nd post to include a key to make the list a bit easier to understand.

I also think it's awesome to see people really getting behind this project so thanks.

Not bad at all, although there are several things that can be improved:
- The textures used are quite nice, but often textures alone may not be enough to be visually pleasing. The most notable case of this problem is in the grey section on L2/L3 where the OOB is a simple solid colour with no details, which should probably contain some building designs. There is also the OOB grass which seems to be missing some of the huts although this doesn't stick out as much as the previous example.
- A lot of the outlines are a bit unpolished, i.e. the turns are really jagged and inconsistent
- The rails seem to be jumps, which I think is fine given there isn't really another option, although some of them have a jump height that is way too high (worst offender is the one on the 2nd hairpin, but they are easy fixes).
- The background should probably be more faithful to the MKWorld remake since it doesn't really look anything like it. It should definitely include some buildings and maybe the boats to name a few things, although you may need a bit more. Not really expecting this to be super faithful but it does need a change.
- You forgot the shortcut on late L2.

This is where I introduce the 🟨Chopping Block category for those who don't know about it yet. This means the track will be temporarily included in the project; however, it is at a high risk of being replaced once another version comes along.

Keep it up though, because it's not a bad recreation. This is also the best submission on the topic so far so hopefully it makes it a bit clearer as to what the standard is actually like.

MKWorld PC is a community project similar to MKPC Generations where members collaborate to recreate all of the Mariokart World tracks from the NS2.

At the time of posting this we only have 4 tracks confirmed, however many are currently being worked on by several members (at least 9 from memory). We may release each cup once all tracks within it are completed, however the full multicup will likely be released once all 32 tracks are done.

This topic will be used to notify the community about progress on the project, such as whenever tracks get accepted. Feel free to also use this topic for anything regarding the project, including submissions (although be warned the standard is quite high).

For submissions, anyone is allowed to submit a track, even if it is already made (remakes must be faithful to the original MKWorld version). We will just decide which version is the better one.

I will be deleting this topic during the week, it should give people who followed this some time to find the new one easier.

This is getting a bit out of hand now, so I'm going to address a few things.


I've had to delete a few non-report messages, this isn't a place to chat nor farm messages. Only reports and appeals are meant to be here (and in light of recent events, people keeping this on topic). Might need to purge this topic for the 3rd time atm.

@USAfromPWA-wtih-luis stop cross reacting with messages that are correct, you seem to have zero common sense in general and haven't learnt from your warn.


No, the purpose of the official report topic is solely for reports. When people clog this topic up with garbage it makes moderation MUCH more annoying. LakituMaker is correct (and it's got nothing to do with 'taking a joke' ), but idm having fun on pretty much every other topic that exists here.

Friendly reminder for people to use this topic only for reports and not for anything else. I've deleted a few unimportant messages but I've decided I'll leave some that I think are reasonable even if not actually a report. Although I probably won't do this anymore.

I'll also update the topic rules on the 2nd post for an issue I didn't think of before, but you are allowed to reply here if you want to contest a report you think is false or dumb (eg you've been reported for light swears). Although it should be obvious to contest reports only regarding yourself, no need to jump in for others. (We do have common sense anyway so it's likely you don't need to report, the x emoji should be enough).

The only exception to this is if you think a report is unfair and you want to contest it, but you can only do this for yourself. Don't jump in for others.

Forum and DM Rules:

   4. Use the report function in the top right of each post if there is something that violates the rules, as opposed to replying with "useless message". Falsely reporting posts is also not allowed and will be punished.
   5. The reports topic is ONLY for reports, not for discussions or comments.

Creation Rules:

   1. Before creating a track, don't forget to check Gollum93's topic (https://mkpc.malahieude.net/topic.php?topic=739) to avoid making bad tracks. Of course, you're not forced to, but it's better to make good tracks than bad ones. REMEMBER, this is only a guide and not necessary for actually making a good track.
   2. Inappropriate creations are forbidden. This includes tracks containing insults, NSFW, controversial content etc. This applies to images, music and thumbnails.
   3. Stealing creations (courses and characters) from other members is forbidden and is essentially plagiarism. If you wish to use other people's creations, you must ask the original creator for permission first, otherwise they have the right to ask for it to be taken down. Taking an image from the internet (eg. Google) does not mean your creation cannot be removed.
   4. Spam of creations is obviously not allowed. This includes publishing random images, publishing the same/similar images, posting square tracks etc... These tracks will be deleted.
   5. Troll ratings are not allowed. You are not allowed to rate creations poorly (mainly 1/5) without a good reason, and it is preferred if you leave a comment explaining why.
   6. Copying tracks from the MKPC base game is forbidden and these tracks will be deleted. You are allowed to use the image from the base game ONLY if you make heavy modifications to the track (eg. R/T/RT variants, hard/kaizo courses, and of course to the image itself)
   7. Only use your own name when publishing courses. It is forbidden to impersonate other members or use their names for your own courses. Courses will be deleted if this occurs. (eg. you cannot use "Wargor" as your nick)

Online Rules:

   1. Be sensible in the chat. The staff have access to chat logs and will know if you've infringed the rules so don't think you'll get away with it.
   2. Point farming is not allowed. If you cheat to gain VR we will reset it. If you lost points unfairly (eg. an online glitch) you can ask a Mod/Admin to give you the points back.
   3. Do not use custom characters that give you an unfair advantage, such as tiny, massive or invisible characters that obscure other players' vision. Characters that look like items (eg. Red Shell, Bullet Bill, etc.) are also not allowed.

You can, either works fine. If it's sent here it just helps me filter out the stolen tracks and I can easily delete a bunch of them in one go, so it's mainly for convenience.

Hi everyone

Recently we've noticed an increase in stolen courses, however there is currently no report system for it. Until one is made, I have decided to create this topic so that users can report any stolen images. Help us to take action quicker by reporting anything you see here.

Most likely because the challenge is actually easy.

For example, I've seen some challenges recently that have a time limit of 1:30 requested as "difficult", but can be beaten in half of that without really trying. So of course we need to downgrade the difficulty.

To be fair the current rules are pretty outdated and at times unclear so maybe I should work on a new set (that totally wasn't proposed several years ago).

Most likely the "R" wasn't seen by the validator, if you rebeat it I can fix it (challenges might be downgraded to medium difficulty).

Btw rotating the image doesn't count towards anything since the image is still technically the same, and the goombas and custom music are a bit debatable. It's mainly the R variant part that would let this slide.
