A beta image for MKPC Stadium. I will be adding the spectator stands and making the Vanilla Lake section more like Vanilla Lake later. For now, what do you think of everything else? Also, I challenge you to find where the ultra shortcut is

I reccomend you add a little more to the Rainbow Road section, but that looks awesome anyways.
I’m intentionally keeping that part small, due to rainbow road being too hard for an early track, and since it’s barely played in SMK to begin with

By the way, for MKPCMK, I plan on giving every track an ultra shortcut. Reason, because who doesn’t love it when a reverse drifter gets beaten by a snaker who knows the ultra shortcut?
Ultras, I don't know about that on a mountain course.
That sounds like the kind of course that would get an ultra (especially if on a 3D game like MK7 (On a track like Maka Wuhu))

Personally, I'm starting to work on Mario Kart 2 (L). I will start off with a ghost themed track. Following the original formula (MK1L), the first track will be a remake.
Cool idea. I’m mostly interested in the remakes since I generally prefer those over original tracks (don’t ask me why)
Both are very interesting. You're discovering a brand new track with the original
and you're pretty interested by the different gimmicks etc. You wonder how creative people can be
While for the remakes, you see the upgrade/downgrade between the two versiond
Personally, I just prefer seeing how courses are upgraded in unique ways over seeing a whole new layout. I don’t know why though

3Retro rewind in mkpc

I think it's clear to anyone who does online sessions on this multicup that I don't like it, but I thought I'd go through and explain the problems with it. More importantly though, I'd like to be able to help all the different track creators of this multicup to be able to improve, since these tracks generally look like the same quality I had in 2022 when I first joined MKPC, and now my tracks have been able to rise to the quality of the Yoshi Circuit seen in this multicup. I'll go through a list of different problems with these tracks and explain how it can be improved, and once you get those 3 sorted, your tracks will likely be a lot better
1. Pixel Size
A lot of the tracks in this multicup have quite large pixels, which can be problematic, since it then worsens almost every other attribute of a track, such as worse textures, shading, and can even make the gameplay a lot harder to read. This is also a problem for the other end of a scale where the site used for making art has no pixels at all, and are pure drawing focused. Unless you're a master in regular art, these suck for MKPC because the leave the track looking messy. I imagine quite a lot of people here use pixilart, so my recommendation on that site is to use a canvas size around 600x600 (can go a larger size once you get more comfortable with making tracks) then upscale by 2x when exporting the image.
2. Consistency
Another issue in lots of these tracks are that they're quite inconsistent. Some parts may have a width of 48 pixels, while other parts have a 60 pixel width. This causes the visuals to look messy, but also makes gameplay feel weird. This can be dealt with by doing each side of the road as different lines, and using circle tool for making turns, deleting the parts you don't want. It's fine if it's not perfect, but I'd rather it ranging from 48-50 pixels than 48-60 pixels.
3. Textures
I could probably count on my hands how many tracks are actually textured. These are quite simple, but go a long way to making the visuals look way better. You can make these pretty simply by making a texture in a small grid (such as 8x8 or 16x16) on an alternate layer, copy pasting it across the layer, than deleting it in all areas it's not needed in.
Bonus. Paint.net
A bonus tip is that paint.net is a very useful app to be able to make tracks, since it can quite easily deal with all the issues I have presented, since it's not limited by image size so it can handle 1x1 pixels, it's got a built in tool for designing lines (straight and curved) with a consistent width. It also has built in textures that can be applied. It is free to use and the only downside is that it doesn't work on some older computers. Just make sure to turn off anti-aliasing. If you want a full guide on paint.net, react to this message with :rob_dabbing:

Track Of The Day/Week

Many of the more experienced players want newer players to play the game more, whether it's TT, online mode, lounges or track creation. The thing is, I believe that in the current state of things, the forum is way more pushed on the home page as it is quite literally the first thing you see. Besides that, the base game tracks can be pretty hard to drive on, as they are quite thin, and in my opinion can get quite boring after some time (no offense obviously).
As a solution to that, I have decided to create this topic. How will things work?
Simple, every once in a while (probably not every day cause I'm a high schooler and have other passions than MKPC), I'll send a custom track that I find particularly good and give you guys reasons to play the track. This will allow you guys to discover custom tracks that you can have fun on, and maybe even inspire you to make your own!
@Nodac64
Today, I'm kicking off things with a rather simple-to-understand and easily sight-readable track, Toad Town, made by Nodac64. It is pretty popular and part of CTGP-PC But Good, with 23 vews and an high average of 4.83/5. It's a fun, bright, colorful track that takes you inside a town populated by Toads, and around said town. Drive through little houses, then into a cave, and jump over bridges! Be careful not to fall down, or you'll have to drive back to the place you jumped from. Not the second time though, there's an invisible jump to allow you to keep going on.
I hope you'll have a lot of fun playing this track, it's quite easy to drive on and very lively visually. There are also some shortcuts which I'm hoping you will find!

I know this is unrated but mabye this could be a candidate for a future (track of the day)? https://mkpc.malahieude.net/map.php?i=210848
The point of this topic is for Invu to select tracks from the community that he considers to be underappreciated, in order to make them more popular. By attempting to submit your own track to the topic, you are taking away from the community aspect and are trying to make it about yourself. Anyway, I did decide to test your track, and the chances of it being a candidate are miniscule. Tracks shared in this topic are supposed to be high quality, with a lot of work put into it, whereas a track with only 12 different colours is gonna be quite low effort and low quality so won't get in. If you want your tracks to be shared in this topic, you have to work for it, by improving your overall track creation skills to match, or at least come close, to any track shared in this topic

In the decor editor, when creating a decor with the fire plant properties, when on the decor, the fire ball is "Décor #2" when it should be "Decor #2"

gamemodes, character

I agree with characters, but in terms of gamemodes I sort of agree, sort of disagree
1.) It would just be "gamemode"
2.) It would be good, but also remove the "of the game" part, as "gamemode of the game" would just be weird
