I kinda hate how dead the active playerbase is,

I saw what you guys said about daisy clones and RD. What if you got on the official suggestions topic and said to tweak character stats to balance the game and to create separate lobbies for casual and pro. I do agree with what you both said about online with the skill differences being MASSIVE. I would, but I've already posted a bit on there recently and I would like to limit myself.
Pros can just smurf. It isn't really wise to make certain groups of players intentionally like that, because there's always gonna be people who are either curious or malicious.

Since there at least 11K players that have accounts here (Ik this because I'm ranked 11,191st in Battle Mode, mostly because I never played it competively), you'd think there would be at least few hundred players online at a time, but recently, I'm lucky to go into a match with 4 other people, most of which have VR that outweighs mine by nearly 10k at least in some cases. I want to be able to enter a full lobby, even if the majority are just bots, but at the same time, I wonder if the very low online activity in this site is intentional by some of the community to avoid attracting the attention of Nintendo, who would probably, at best, gatekeep this game behind a paywall, or more likely, issue a DMCA takedown to this fangame.
Maybe all of this is just wishful thinking and the reality is that if the game had a very active playerbase, Nintendo would inevitably notice and DMCA this game into oblivion; or maybe I just joined 8-10 years too late to see how active the playerbase really was, and my mind is trying to cope by constructing a narrative that the low activity of the playerbase is intentional to avoid Nintendo's DMCA takedowns; but every time I log into this game, barely anyone is online, and it annoys me to no end.
To be blunt, I think that nobody ever goes online anymore because the new players don't know RD. The skill gap is so unbelievably wide, that if you suck at RD, you might as well not even get on the game. This works both ways. For example, a good player, looking for a fun time, might go on fill lobbies to race, only to find out that every race they partake in they dominate because everybody that isn't them hasn't found out about RD, and the skill required for it is enough to turn people away. Or say, a new player, completely blind to the game, might hit up online lobbies after winning most grand prixs, only again to find out that they're being annihilated and lapped on even longer tracks like waluigi pinball and ds bowsers castle, playing against who they view as hackers or cheaters (Personal experience). The skill required for this game, on both ends, has actively deteriorated and filtered down the scene and encouragement of new players trying to rise to the top level. This is why top players play lounge, and why most pros will only be seen on online once in a blue moon. [Except for a few, of course.]
Regarding the Nintendo stuff, while that could be the case, I doubt that for as long MKPC has been out, and how easy it is to find, MKPC's safety is being compromised.
Looking at this comment, and I can see a lot as to why new players don't want to play if they can't perform RD. Tbh, I think a lot of them also get the impression that MKPC's playerbase is toxic because usually when I see someone complain about reverse drifting or petition for it to be banned, almost everyone else's response is to tell the complainer to basically just "git gud."
Plus, there's also the fact that the game literally allows you to create a custom racer of your choosing, including stats, but only Daisy clones are viable online, which makes some believe that the community has cracked down on a specific meta so hard that any form of creativity beyond making just another Daisy with a different sprite is discouraged because you'll rarely, if ever, win unless the top player has an inexplicable stroke of bad RNG with the item roulette or a well timed shock.
For example, from when I joined in Feburary up until June, I was adamant that I could carve a niche out of myself by making a heavyweight racer, but once I reached the master rank, my odds of victory have become so stagnant that I had to conform to the established Daisy stats meta to even have a chance to place among the top 500 without getting halfway lapped every race.
I agree with the meta comment, daisy being the only viable character is pretty much true. Either that or really close to daisy, but either way those are the only viable types of characters (High handling). However, saying "git gud" isn't a toxic thing, it's just something toxic people say. Somebody who complains about main structural integral parts of a game and petitions for their removal deserves to be told to "git gud" because it is the undeniable truth. Because of their lack of skill, they are upset, warranting them to become better. That to me is not toxic. I do agree that some players can be toxic on here, but that's not really any sort of underlying issue in this community, I've noticed. Especially due to all the pros encouraging the use of Rd to new players to get ahead in the game. [That's how I became as good as I am currently, after all.]

What Are You Guys Favrioute Mobile Game?
On 2025-08-03 at 20:24:55
Battle Cats is quite fun. It's great to spam a bunch of warriors and watch them do big damage, also there's a strategy aspect which makes the game really replayable, I like grinding games. Also the cats are extremely collectable and it's very easy to fall into a f2p rabbit hole (don't spend your credit card on cat food please) with all the unique designs.
Is POW Team Unfair?

I think Team POW... is unfair, because if almost everyone is on the same team, it effectively destroys the idea of clan wars.
That makes sense.
On 2025-08-06 at 17:29:58
pow team is fair i guess
edit: can y'all just speak up
edit: can y'all just speak up
I disagree. If an absurd amount of DOMINANT people are all in it, always 1 to 3/4 members in a lobby, its kinda unfair for people like me who aren’t on team pow, leading everyone on team pow to place a target on their head and constantly making them lose the race, but also VR. And i dont have that much vr, so if im constantly LOSING IT rather than having a chance to gain it is unfair. I could see the argument abt that they need to add a better matchmaking system, but theres never enough people playing to make it even work.
we don't team within our team we only do it to rival teams when we do normal races it's a free for all we just have a clan
Idk if i can believe that. But for now, i will
Well, I mean, believe it or not, the conspiracy doesn't exist. I try to surpass everybody in a given room at any point, there's been tons of times where I got beat by another POW Team member without even thinking about the fact that we're in the same clan. Unprovoked, we just race.

I was having a talk with @UKFromPWA_and_PhantomMC, and they have the opinion that POW Team feels unfair due to the heavy player count and dominance in online lobbies. It got me thinking about the possible killing of online in this way. I want to see if both sides have anything to offer in regards to the team without applying my own views.
Please don't be biased, whether or not you are in POW Team.

Worst Track in the Base Game?
On 2025-07-29 at 19:56:09
GBA Bowser Castle IV because it is too long and looks just like the other GBA bowser castles
I agree that it's way too long. CT does a better job of making it fun, given that they restrict it to two laps instead of 3, and they add more interesting sections.
On 2025-07-29 at 18:23:47
worst: ds rainbow road because of the bumps, if we ignore that then i'd say snes donut plains 3
Collision off, DP3 being the worst is so real. It's a bagging track fs, but not even because there's a fun skill mechanic or anything, like in Yoshi Desert (Favorite online track) or Riverside Park. The sheer slog that DP3 is makes me shudder whenever it's picked in the lobby, and it's almost never outright picked, it's just a product of the randomizer, like getting a secret boss in an old school fighting game. And it's not a good one.

Snes Bowser Castle 2. Exhibit 1. Long Boring Straightaways. Exhibit 2. Weird Squares that are awkward to drive around. Exhibit 3. A dead end meant only to troll you. And to top it all off, in this game, you can fall off the edge instead of just bouncing off the walls. Bowser's Castle 2 is a prime example of bad track design.
Yes SNES BC2 sucks. I do have to say that for Exhibit 3, you can use a shroom to gap jump.
Also, in court, exhibits are marked with letters for defense and numbers for prosecution.
Mushrooms are more impressive, but Feathers also work
In MKPC, we gotta use mushrooms 'cause we don't have feathers yet.
I want feathers, but not in the default item distribution

My least favourite is... actually everybody's least favourites are my favourites
So my ACTUAL least favourite is DS Tick-Tock Clock Sorry Proudster due to how simple the music is, and just generally I don't the layout, MKPC or not.
My favourites are SNES Choco Island 2, the mud pit makes gameplay exciting and different every race on this track, SNES Koopa Beach 2, same reason but with the large water area, and DS Shroom Ridge, it feels exciting to dodge the cars.
Oh yeah we CAN'T forget DS Rainbow Road, music is a BANGER, course layout is really good and the bumps and items provide a heavy challenge for a thin track with almost no walls. ^^

Very fun tracks, I gotta say. I love how diverse they all are, and how creative they are. I love how not annoying they are, too.

From the GBA tracks, Peach Circuit, mostly beacuse, Broken Pier and Boo Lake don't have the annoying falling blocks, and Snow Land doesn't have the obnoxious shaking, so Peach Circuit it is i guess, the track in general doesn't have a lot, it is very boring to me.
And from the DS Tracks... this is hard... actually, it isn't Figure-8 Circuit by a landslide, i don't need to explain why, this track is garbage, it has no obstacles, it is just, a Figure-8. Not even to be called... Oh Idk, Schafrillas Circuit or something, it's just, a Figure-8! And that's it!
In general, Figure-8 Circuit And SNES Bowser Castle 2. for the same reasons I explained above
Bc2's cut is still possible. It's the main cp cut on the track. There's two, one at the beginning/middle, one at the end.
Peach circuit is very boring fr.
Figure-8 is boring too, ngl. Only good if ur rd'ing against someone with the same skill, but otherwise it's just optimization, and optimization alone isn't all too fun.

1, There are too much of shallow water.
2, OoB is very strict and hard to avoid
3, Islands that 7 in a row is hard to run fast.
But I like it Wii remade.
I don't like KB2 either. Shy Guy Beach is annoying anywhere but Online, because it's a bagging track, likely intentionally.

DS Airship Fortress
1. The annoying bullet bills
2. The somewhat annoying tight turns at the right.
3. The slightly annoying sharp turn after the cannon.
I actually agree with 3 ^^
