2. If you knew how the game worked, you'd know the Feather item is impossible to code. Too many OOBs, cuts, etc. It'd require a complete rework of the game.

Add the Giant Banana and (maybe) Bowser Shell from Double Dash. Why: it's cool.

Bullet exists merely as a crutch. The point of it is to be overpowered so that players who aren't good can get ahead of or into the pack. If you don't want bullet bill, make a private game and take it out of the distribution.

Attack items alerts would be a quality of life addition that shouldn't be too hard to code for (at least I don't think so).
This is good mostly. Megas, Bills, Stars, and Blues would be great to be alerted about, seeing as especially in large lobbies, you could get comboed easily without warning while saving your items for a cut or a comeback. But red shells should definitely stay off of those alerts, it'd be babying.

In Nodac's forum, he talks about different ways to dodge them, and there's like several. Voiding, getting hit by a fake item box, mushrooming in a 4 frame window, boosting at the right time with mobile floors, teleporter frame perfect dodge, and of course, just any invincibility item.

As a QM enthusiast, what are your grounds for creating a good track? I think Woo could use some pointers on good game design, although in general the presence of your opinion is helpful as well.

A good start is graduation from QM. There's not enough options in QM. If you're a QM genius, you'll be able to make a very entertaining, exciting, and elaborately competitive track. But until that's displayed, to me, all QM tracks are the same tier besides some of the ones that actually have reasoning for their simplicity.

Track made in Quick Mode. They tend to be worse than Complete Mode tracks.

Well yeah but then the CM track would have to be worse than the QM track, like cat said. There's nothing inherently intentional about quick mode that's implementable, so it's really hard to actually produce something remotely good in regards to quality in game design philosophy.

QM, well to be completely honest, I just start making a layout in the SNES MC theme, then go through every theme to see which fits best, then I add the decors to the track in spots that I feel work well, I add the items, similar thought process there, and then I publish the track.
so basically I try not to go to crazy, but not to simple. (unlike some other QM tracks I see)
although in some rare cases, going a bit crazy can lead to a better track
What about game design philosophy? Do you take into account what makes a track good when creating it? Do you think from the player's perspective, asking questions like "What does the player want?" or "Why is this fun?"?

The Cpu's cheat in almost everyway i know of,
they get item's i almost never get, they rubberband so bad, and
worst part, when i skip a bit of no mather what road, i get placed as 8th

items is random, but also matters on which place you're in, 1st = banana 8th = star
I'm not actually sure if rubberbanding exists in this game tbh, but they are naturally faster so keep that in mind
and as for the last thing, your just skipping checkpoints and you need to go back to get them again
and the bots follow a specific path, so knowing the path for each track can be useful
Cpus can rubberband, but only experts visually do it. If you're ahead, they go insanely fast to overtake you. I doubt this guy knows rd tho, so he's not playing against VS CPUs.

"MPPC" Already exists. The only issue is that it's not online, but the game can easily be played with friends with parsec. It has a huge modding community with several custom boards, characters, and more.

I stopped WR chasing after realizing most of the competition is seconds behind a good route's time. No competition = No fun. (Also, admittedly, the tracks are very hard to read without extensive play, it's always blury.)
