Ok tbh I was a bit angry (and tired) when I wrote this… :s
I guess yeah I could look at the minimap, but I get pretty locked in when I play and by the time I check it would be too late. Giving an instant warning would be a lot better because then you have a second to prepare.


Requires less skill to use radar, the minimap approach is much more rewarding.

What about those of us that play with minimap off?

Okay. There seriously needs to be some kind of radar that shows you when things are coming at you, like red shells or bullet bills, or stuff like that. It makes it so difficult when you're absolutely cruising and all the sudden, since the end of the screen is literally right behind you, a Bullet Bill just smacks you in the behind right before you win the race. Now you're in fifth. It drives me insane, especially when it's in a cup I've never beaten in my year playing. It would be so much better if, like MK8, a little thing pops up on your screen with the Bullet Bill icon when there's one coming up.

That system would be extremely flawed because creators don't usually cover the OOB (Out Of Bounds) section of their arenas with any collision which would lead to the Shine of Coins to just spawn on unreachable areas. Just like... SM64 impossible coins..?

I came up with something simpler:


Coin Runners: Have a "Coin" category in the editor that allows you to place all 30 coins. If no coins are placed, they will instead be placed on the CPU Nodes.

Shine Thief: Have a "Shine" category in the editor that allows you to place every possible spawn location of the shine at the start of a battle. If no spawn location is placed, the Shine will instead select a random CPU Node to spawn on.


Way WAY better, that way you could allow even CPUs to start with the shine or grab coins themselves, good stuff.

make it so you can change specific items to have chance for only some items, and make a custom distribution of their items, and add the one in DK Pass.

What happened to the forum leaderboard? Why was it deleted?


The forum leaderboard was deleted in order to incentivize people to not grind the message boards for ranks. Also, why even have a LB for messages anyway? It's completely useless.

The goal is to make messages meaningless so that people stop trying to farm points of any sort. This wouldn't fix much, and likely would cause the same issue.

maybe to clarify,  challanges and messages dont have much in common. challange points are earned by completing validated challanges from custom circuits, in contrast of just posting a message.

i suggested to remove the message leaderboard and the ranks from your profile, but reuse those ranks for your challange points, which currently lacks any ranks

Though I think they should just be off period. They aren't skillful or integral to the game and people who rd just get interrupted by a factor that is client based and ruins the experience of the game. SNES Rainbow Road is an example of this.

This suggestion may not be taken most likely, but here’s mine:
- Add in the Boo, Crazy 7, Cape Feather(probably would be useful to dodge a blue shell), Super Horn?(probably not going to work).

I was hoping some of the items from Mario Kart 8/8 Deluxe could get added in the future.

Boo would be cool because of its mechanic, it would be fun for competitive games

Crazy 7 might be hard to code and absolutely useless. Just as useless as it is in 7.

Cape feather would require a wall rework, which is already a no, plus, if the rework worked, it'd just be a worse shroom, only useful for taking cuts. Dodging shouldn't be the entire point of ONE item, it only worked in smk because SMK has next to no verticality.

And, as for what was said above, dodging should not be the entire point of one item. Super horn, outside of dodging, would be straight up useless because hitting people with super horn is not worth bleeding time on a line. Not a good item in my opinion.

I think we should add a semi-offroad where you slow down a little bit but not as much as regular offroad. This semi-offroad should be able to let you try to do a boost at first but after 1-2 seconds it should cut off the boost. This might help with future problems where people cant decide whether one part should be plain terrain or off-road.


You can already boost through offroad, you just need good timing, but it could be useful for easier tracks so not a bad suggestion.

They can be like characters, just make it appear behind them when they hit a glider ramp, we can customize them like characters too! (and make it so their like, slightly in the air and descending slowly)

I think having items, item boxes, and decors move on mobile floors like karts do would be cool. Item boxes could also (in CM) have an option to follow a path like a Bus or CPU. I think these little things could make tracks like Wii Toad's Factory easier and more accurate to remake. I won't be too pissed if this doesn't get added, and it probably won't, but I just think it'd be a nice little touch.


I think it'd be more than a little touch. It could add a lot of competitive depth to the game in regards to aiming for boxes, putting execution at the forefront of certain tracks in a more deliberate and clear way. This is a great suggestion.

You can literally just rotate the sprite 90 degrees for a wall, 180 degrees for upside down, and 45 degrees for diagonal. Sort of like what you did with rails...

Not Stars, Golden Mushrooms or Megas, they all have the same length in 1st place then you would have in a low position, which could allow for massive breakaways if you can chain a bullet bill with a item like a golden mushroom (ex. Cheese Land )

There's a stat glitch so this would not really affect reverse drift at all.

I think we need Lobbies for Online Mode. I want to play Online Modes like CTGP-PC Hide and Seek or other CM Online Matches but I have no way of knowing who's playing what.

Game already does this, there just aren't many people playing this game. As well as most online games on custom tracks being private links.

We should have a feature where we can just spectate CPUs on our custom tracks, if we don't wanna get involved in the race.

I don't think people realise that unlockable cups will just mean less people are going to play them. Also don't think there's anyone that only plays the last couple cups.
As for the other stats people only really play Daisy, but sure for casual players ig. High speed + high handling would be the new meta but wouldn't impact things that much besides time trials.

Custom Items. No explanation needed.

Yes we do need an explanation. Don't suggest something you don't know.

1. The Item WONDER FLOWER!!! It makes everything inverted color and gives each player a random effect. (For example, Mushroom Boost, Bullet Bill transformation, lightning shock, etc.) (I've seen this item in a roblox game I like to play. If you want to check it out, it's called "Roblox Go Kart Racing". It's just like Mario Kart, only WAY more chaotic.)

2. The ability to vote-kick players on online mode. (I know this is kind of harsh, but sometimes... It's got to be done.)

3. Elimination mode! The player in last gets eliminated, and once the player gets eliminated, the game is over for them. This could also work for VS mode! The winner is determined by not who has the most points, but who is the last one standing! (I know that's kind of obvious, but I just gotta clear up innocent minds.)

Good handling is what makes Rd possible
Good speed would break the game, and several wrs

Not really, MT boost speed is the same for every character regardless of their speed stat.

Pretty interesting. I'm down for different playstyles to be possible since just playing Daisy is getting boring. Problem will be balancing it.

I have a few ideas:

1. Add an option in CM to add music from a file (.mid, .wav or .mp3). This would be cool as I like to compose BGMs for my tracks and wish I could add them to MKPC tracks I make.
2. As previously mentioned, more items. Specifically Fire Flower and Super Horn.
3. Add more decors in QM, and add the yellow bumps in CM.
4. AI on CPUS to automatically avoid items in their path (if it's not possible or too OP, then forget it)
5. Antigravity sections with spin-boosting, like from MK8.

Let me know if any of these are actually possible!

2. The game already has more than enough items. Secret items would be nice yeah but they'll rarely get used. Super horn especially would be a huge no since that would just make frontrunning broken.
3. The point of QM is to be simple. As for CM you can just add a jump in the track art.
4. While I would like more difficult CPU players, this could possibly lead to them just hugging a wall or falling off.
5. Wouldn't reccomend this for how laggy online is, hence why kart bumps are usually disabled


Yes, the MT speed is the same, but what about the speed between MTs? It drops significantly less if you have higher speed, no? That's how bowser glitch works I thought.
